The public is welcome to attend the annual ecumenical Commemorative Church Service in the Old Log Church on the Swiss Historical Village grounds. The service is annually held on a Saturday closest to the date that the original Swiss immigrants from Glarus, Switzerland first settled in New Glarus.
There are still many descendants of the original settlers living in the area, or who travel to attend the service ceremony. Some attendees were married in the Old Log Church!
Music is performed on the old organ in the church. This year the New Glarus Maennerchor will perform.
The offerings will be donated to the Green Cares Food Pantry.
